Summary:
The Digital Services Technician is responsible for supporting the workflow of the Digital Services department. (S)he ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. (S)he is expected to meet or exceed production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times.
**Responsibilities**:
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Pre-flight customer supplied art
- Work with printing department to gather reproduction specifications (mechanical, colour, etc.)
- Follow established procedures and quality control steps
- Focus on continuous improvement
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, small team environment
- Perform housekeeping and other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- effective communication, time management and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of folding carton manufacturing process with working knowledge of carton styles, board types, print, die cutting and gluing operations. For day-to-day file preparation and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of Esko software server management and workflow creation and trouble shooting
- Solid understanding of all Esko software solutions and workflows
- Solid understanding of CAD operations, dieline, 3D, coater programming
- Solid understanding of colour management, (colour reproduction theory, proofing (icc), CCJ, press curves)
- Fully proficient computer knowledge Microsoft and MacOS, Microsoft and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Fully Proficient understanding of Digital File Processing and imposition (Litho and Flexo), and relevant outputs.
