Solterre Design is a small, integrated high-performance architecture and green consulting firm with over 30 years of experience. We are seeking a passionate CA/CAD tech with an interest in high performance / Passive House construction to join our Solterre Design South office in Lunenburg, NS. As a CA/CAD tech, you will gain design experience at a variety of scales and work with the lead architect to execute various CA tasks and join in with the design team on construction documentation.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and revise CAD documentation including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, sections and details working with design team (Vectorworks - or similar BIM/Revit experience)
- Provide project management (site and office admin) for local projects
- Construction administration and some office administration
- Manage communications with clients and contractors, subtrades

**Required Qualifications/Experience**:

- 2-5 years work experience in construction industry
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, material specifications and update CAD files
- Ability to support contractors with drawings, product specifications and scheduling
- Basic knowledge of applicable building codes
- Awareness / experience with high-performance buildings, such as Passive House and Net-Zero energy
- Proficiency in CAD (Vectorworks preferred) and other pertinent software (MS Office)
- Highly organized/ detail oriented
- Excellent communicator, independent thinker, team player
- Valid driver’s license necessary

**Working Conditions**:
Full time in office, with required site visits (approximately 50% in office, 50% sitework). Projects are located within South Shore region. Possession of a Driver’s License is required.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
