Night Ranger

The Night Ranger position is an overnight security guard/guest services role for a Glamping Eco-Retreat on a horse farm. This position is a little more varied than a typical security guard or guest services position and you will need to be trained to handle any problems that could arise throughout the night. Because of the nature of the property, it is best suited for someone that likes being outside and in nature in all manner of weather, although there will also be lots of time spent in the historic Ranger Cabin.

There is the opportunity for growth in this role and it does require a great work ethic and the ability to work on your own with diligence, responsibility and self-management. We would like someone that is eager to learn, trustworthy, and adaptable for whatever type of situation can arise. Although on most nights the majority of your shift will be alone, we always want to hire staff that can not only work in a team environment but be good people to be around.

Summary of Duties:

- Late night guest check in for glamping accommodations
- Monitor vehicle traffic in and out
- Periodically perform security/safety checks on property and equipment
- Assist with camp fires/wood stoves
- Monitor camp fires and noise levels - enforce property rules when needed
- Communicate quickly and politely with guests and assist when needed
- Check/fuel generators and equipment on the property
- Occasionally stack firewood, clear snow (winter), water gardens (summer) as well as other relatively light maintenance type duties around the property

**Qualifications**:

- Security experience would be considered an asset
- Hotel, hospitality, guest services experience definitely an asset
- Ability to problem solve - specifically with electronics or machinery
- Great communication skills
- Experience in the outdoors
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Customer-oriented and friendly
