BODEGA RIDGE RESORT is located on beautiful Galiano Island. LOLA restaurant is the is the showcase for Bodega Ridge Resort’s unique offering of southeast asian cuisine with a distinct Galiano flavour.
BODEGA RIDGE RESORT is looking for a prep cook who is passionate and creative about food, has an understanding of south asian cuisine and thrives working in a small team environment. The Prep Cook will assist the Chef in both the restaurant and Bodega’s wedding and event catering.

Our goal is to provide an authentic gulf island ambience and service.

DUTIES

Storing food and ingredients

Assisting in stocking and preparing kitchen

Wash, peel, cut, seed fruits and vegetables

Prepare and cook meat, poultry, fish and seafood

Grilling with charcoal

Plating and garnishing food for serving

Keeping work areas, equipment, utensils clean, taking proper care of ranges, fryers, griddles, and coolers

Work in a team oriented environment in demanding conditions

Collaborating with back of house and front of house to ensure a quality of restaurant and event experience for guests

Working in a safe manner by following all safety procedures for work with knives, hot and cold elements

Performing additional relevant tasks as assigned by Head Chef

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years experience as a cook or any related position in the kitchen

Certificate or Diploma in culinary arts

High School Diploma or General Education Degree Equivalent

Food Safety Training

Ability to work standing for a standard shift

Able to lift up to 50lbs

SCHEDULE

Seasonal FULL TIME Role from Mid May to Mid October

COMPENSATION

$ 20 / hr + gratuities + share of event service fees
