**Cook**

We are looking for an experienced **Cook**for our client located in **Waterloo**, **ON**. They are the **retirement home service **provider.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Contribute to menu planning and suggest creative and innovative dishes.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
- Monitor and maintain food quality throughout the cooking process.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring and managing kitchen inventory.
- Place orders for food supplies as needed, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation.
- Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Location**: Waterloo

**Working Hours**: Day Shift (Part-time)

**Pay Rate**:$20.87/hr**.**

**Salary**: $20.85 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
