**Role and Facility Information**:
The Vancouver Acute (VA) Department of Orthopaedics at VGH & UBC Hospitals is looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon with Trauma Fellowship training and ability to perform complex acute orthopedic repair and reconstruction procedures and post traumatic reconstructions of upper and lower extremity injuries to occupy a 0.75 FTE time clinical position as part of a group of 6 Orthopedic Trauma surgeons. The successful applicant will also meet academic deliverables related to Service contract and in collaboration with Academic Department.

The chosen surgeon will actively participate in the Division’s clinical, academic and administrative activities. Scholarly work will focus on the domain of expertise described above (epidemiology, clinical-health services research, or in medical education or in basic sciences), including active participation in clinical research projects of the Division and projects pursued by residents and graduate students associated with UBC. Additionally, the chosen surgeon will have demonstrated ability and interest in teaching trauma related topics in the past to meet the Division members’ deliverables.

Subspecialty Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship training required. Ability to manage complex acute orthopedic injuries and post traumatic reconstructions.
