Psychometrist

**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Manager or designate and under the close clinical direction of a Registered Psychologist, administers, scores and summarizes psychological, neuropsychological and other standardized tests.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Graduation from a recognized degree program in Psychology, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Successful completion of university-level course work in Psychometrics. Recent related experience in administering a broad range of psychometric tests in a clinical setting under the direction of a registered or licensed psychologist.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively including children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work and to work with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
