**We are currently looking for 1st - 4th year Plumbing Apprentices to join our team.**

**Responsibilities will include**:
Assist and learn from Journeyman Plumbers in all areas of commercial plumbing, including but not limited to:

- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Assist with material handling
- Maintain clean working area at all times, perform housekeeping duties on site
- Ensure full compliance with Trotter & Morton Safety programs
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Skills**:

- Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competent use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work with others as part of a team
- Progress within the plumbing trade through a recognized apprenticeship program, example SAIT
- Work at various construction sites and projects within Alberta.
- Physical stamina required to:

- use proper lifting techniques for heavy pipes weighing in excess of 25 kilograms
- be on your feet for long periods
- sometimes work in cramped positions
- Ability to work on constructions sites which may be outside

Required Experience
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Pre-Apprentice experience considered an asset
- Plumbing Apprenticeship Schooling and related hours of Experience
- Experience in commercial construction is an asset
