**Qualified educator needed**

**Job duties**
- Early childhood educator for a class of 3 year olds;
- Implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children;
- Lead activities by reading stories, teaching songs, taking children on field trips and providing opportunities to express creativity through art activities, dramatic play, music and physical activity (indoor and outdoor);
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of the children;
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or difficulties with the parents and other staff members;
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural difficulties and prepare reports for parents, administration and other professionals;
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and bathroom habits (develop independence);
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals working with children;
- French as a second language is required.

- Day shift (7:30am to 3:30pm)
