**Summary**

The Materials Planner will be responsible for ensuring the availability of all necessary materials required to support the manufacturing process, release scheduling of inbound raw materials and components, and ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for coordinating all materials availability to support the manufacturing process
- Responsible for the release scheduling of inbound raw materials and components, ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements
- Responsible for the co-ordination of all outside services, monitoring flow of parts to and from outside service providers and suppliers
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a Kanban system for materials as required
- Support for scheduling of production work orders through printing of all internal Work Order documents
- Monitor the closing of work orders in conjunction with the QA team to support proper reporting of WIP and Finished Goods Inventory
- Understand, and develop the release and scheduling of raw materials utilizing the existing MRP system
- Develop and improve the integrity of our internal MRP to ensure accurate release requirement timing
- Formulate a forward plan of requirements based on historical information and future customer forecasts
- Co-ordinate cycle counts of raw materials in conjunction with the warehouse team, and update NAVaccordingly
- Implement ABC categories for all inventory to closely control high volume items
- Identify, develop, and document inventory release strategy for critical components
- Record and publishthe daily diagnostics of inventory, and root causes of errors
- Implement an effective strategy for the most cost effective flow of material to and from outside service providers
- Develop a close working relationship with outside service providers and suppliers
- Maintain and analyze outside service providers' performance based on pre-determined goals
- Developin conjunction with the HPG Senior Buyera Kanban system for all purchased parts, to ensure FIFO and reorder points
- Learn scheduling and work order production, to ensure adequate backup to the Master Scheduler
- Effectively communicate on a timely basis with internal departments Coordinate necessary action plans with affected departments

**Requirements**:

- Business Studies Degree
- CAPIC/ APICS certification preferred
- MRP experience is required
- 3 - 5 year’s experience in theAerospace industry preferred
- Computer literate in Word processing and spreadsheets
- Production scheduling experience an asset
- Inventory control experience
- Problem solving techniques
- Able to work in a fast paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
