Concrete Rubble Load Inspector

**Summary**:
The Concrete Rubble Load Inspector is responsible for the visual inspection of incoming road construction materials to ensure the material meets the requirements of clean material and they will reject and turn away materials that are not approved, to prevent the contamination of pile. This position requires standing for long periods of time and working outside in various conditions such as, full sun, wind, snow, and sleet. The Concrete Rubble Load Inspector is expected to inspect up to 100 loads of material per day. The Load Inspector may also be required to reject all loads during temporary closures of the pile and redirecting trucks. Report to the site foreperson.

**Duties/Tasks**:

- Inspect incoming concrete rubble for materials that not are not approved, to prevent contamination of pile.
- Maintain a record of number of loads per day that are allowed to dump and / or rejected.
- Must participate in regular safety meetings.
- Must demonstrate understanding and compliance of Code of Ethics.
- Must demonstrate commitment to safety by operating within safety policies and regulations and actively promote a safety minded culture.
- Other duties as required, including general site cleanup, scaling.

**Knowledge/Skills**:

- Knowledge of road construction materials and industry requirements.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and stairs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work full time, seasonal and possible shift work.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

**Experience/Education**:

- High-School Diploma required
- Must have a valid Class 5 license
