**Job Description** Mission**

**Primary Responsibilities**
- In the framework of engineering projects, conduct geotechnical and concrete characterization studies, field work planning and execution, laboratory analyses and compilation of results
- Act as a field work supervisor
- Geotechnical investigations:

- Supervise field investigation work for geotechnical and environmental boring, exploratory trenches, and manual boring.
- Perform in situ testing (SPT, Nilcon scissometer, etc.)
- Perform material sampling in compliance with standardized practices
- Install observation wells, vibrating wire piezometers, etc.
- Write daily field work reports, including soil and rock description
- Concrete characterization:

- Supervise concrete coring work
- Conduct non-destructive tests (corrosion potential, ground-penetrating radar, ultrasound)

**Qualifications**
- Diploma of college studies (DCS) in mineral technology or civil engineering, or equivalent training
- More than one (1) year of experience in Geotechnical or Geo-environmental investigations, Mining Exploration or Material Control
- ASP Construction card
- Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, and advanced practical knowledge of environmental sampling methods
- The person may be required, on a non-routine basis, to lift loads of up to 25kg and to work, standing, at height, at night and outdoors in winter, or on a voluntary basis in a remote area
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, organizational skills, and strong experience of field investigation work
- Proficiency in French and understanding of English is essential for this role. The position requires a solid foundation in bilingual skills, enabling effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers, partners, and staff from various industries across the nation
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence, and access to a vehicle for travelling across Quebec
