The Operations Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager at Bower Place and plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of all facility maintenance operations. This position involves supervising a team, coordinating with external vendors, and implementing maintenance strategies to uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. **Supervision and Leadership**:

- Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient coverage and optimal performance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.

2. **Vendor Management**:

- Oversee relationships with third-party contractors and service providers.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely and quality services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues promptly.

3. **Facility Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment longevity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.

4. **Operational Efficiency**:

- Optimize maintenance processes to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline cross-functional processes.
- Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.

5. **Emergency Response**:

- Work with Operations Manager on the emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents.
- Coordinate with security and other relevant departments to address urgent situations.

6. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and vendor contracts.
- Generate regular reports on maintenance performance and present findings to management.
- Any other job related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Technical proficiency in facility maintenance systems and equipment.

**Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education**
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience at regional or multi-regional retail centre
- Previous experience with large-scale central plant HVAC system
- Previous experience with operating budgets and re-forecasting processes
