**What you will do**:
Join Humber Libraries at this exciting time as we open an Idea Lab at the College’s beautiful Lakeshore campus Located in the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Lakeshore Idea Lab is designed to support digital fluency skill development and media-rich assignments with bookable studio spaces, workshops, online resources, and student supports. Staffed by a librarian, support staff and workstudy students, Lakeshore Idea Lab studios are open to the entire Humber community (students, faculty and staff). These new spaces include a video/photography studio as well as two audio and two fabrication studios, which house 3D printers, a laser cutter, vinyl cutter, sewing machines, sound booth, keyboards, and other audio, video and photography equipment. The Idea Labs at the North and Lakeshore campuses both support Humber’s institutional learning outcomes, which incorporate digital fluency skills.

The role also includes technology troubleshooting and coordinating Idea Lab studio bookings, the workshop calendar, and staff schedules. In addition, the incumbent will collect and organize metrics and prepare reports on Idea Lab and eLearning activities/object usage, as well as develop and maintain documentation and training manuals facilitating multiple learning approaches.

Shifts change as required.

**What you bring to the role**:
Specific skills required include: an aptitude for technology (both hardware and software), and proven strategies to support learning of new technologies and equipment; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; communications skills to interact with a variety of people with varying levels of comfort with technology; the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement in a demanding public service environment; demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; the demonstrated ability to communicate and enforce policy with patience, diplomacy and empathy; and a strong public service orientation. Excellent project planning, time management, and organizational skills are required.

Demonstrated experience in video, audio, infographic, and web design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, H5P, iMovie, Piktochart, Google Sites, Audacity or equivalent platforms is required. 3D printing experience is a strong asset. Experience with scheduling, room booking and equipment booking software is strongly desired. Experience incorporating AODA/WCAG requirements in all media and eLearning objects is required.
