Set-up Technician

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- This position is the key communicator to the Set-Up Team for all company directives, policies, procedures, best practices, measurable tracking, and daily schedules and respective changes. As well as insuring that all process are followed and ensuring that all Set Up team members are working safely.

**DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
- Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products
- Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment, monitor and inspect quality of material produced
- Assist process engineering in set up process when tools move to a different press
- Troubleshoot moulding issues and initiate corrective actions as appropriate
- Ensure all change over procedures and documentation is followed and complete
- Perform basic maintenance on plant equipment including molding machines, robots and auxiliary equipment
- Attend daily production meetings providing input on Set Up related items
- Material handling for plastic resins, including preparing material for production, drying, cleaning auxiliary material handling equipment, ensuring no cross-contamination and adherence to set-up requirements
- Maintain material traceability and inventory through entire process, from receipt to final processing
- Assist with troubleshooting material issues in the plant
- Complete and retain appropriate quality documentation
- Manage regrind materials and reintroduce into the process as applicable
- Maintain cleanliness of moulding machines and surrounding areas, auxiliary equipment, materials room, tooling storage areas, EOAT storage, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
