**Position Overview**

The Product Manager-Asset will report to the PMM-Global Commodity Manager or to the PMM-Asset and is responsible to ensure the optimum management of regional inventory levels for a given product portfolio in order to meet the requirements of sales for a given business unit, while managing business risk and reducing any excess/bad inventory. The role interfaces extensively with suppliers in order to validate lead times and /or specific stock. Building and maintaining supplier relationships will also be an integral part of this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, markets, suppliers, customers. Understand and communicate competitive landscape, product availability and pricing trends.
- Analyze inventory levels based on previous day’s activity to identify and action necessary adjustments (purchases) including rush buys for factory stock.
- Manage stocking levels regionally and/or globally (depending upon the position) to leverage cost advantages, transfer inventory worldwide as required and determine sourcing buys. Approve product transfers to Europe or Asia.
- Prepare and submit negotiated stocking packages in order to obtain Differentiated pricing (DPP) from our suppliers.
- Negotiate special returns with suppliers where we require additional flexibility outside of contractual rotation/scrap allowance.
- Expand the breath of product by placing initial stocking packages with the appropriate suppliers.
- Determine whether a Purchase Backorder needs to be cancelled or rescheduled and take the necessary action with supplier.
- Expedite Purchase Back Order (PBO) based on shippable 60 day Customer Backlog and performing bonds.
- Manage drop shipment process including follow-up on billing.
- Authorize customer order changes
- Ensure that MPQ / POQ/ SOQ are accurately reflected in system.
- Review and resolve inventory receiving and stocking discrepancies within the given deadlines
- Review and resolve all pricing discrepancies and Billbacks within the given deadlines
- Build and maintain relationships with all suppliers at the appropriate levels.
- Complete all assigned I-Learn courses.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- University Degree
- Previous asset management experience is a plus.
- Effective communication in English - additional languages at asset
