TAMASHA is finally opening in the heart of Kitchener Downtown. We aim to provide an elevated experience through our unique Indian gastropub cuisine, extraordinary cocktails, and the liveliest Bollywood-themed events.
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of curry dishes, breads (naan, roti), and other Indian specialties according to authentic recipes.
- Operate the tandoor oven efficiently and ensure all food items are cooked to perfection.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of food by following standard recipes and procedures.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ingredients, and supplies for curry and tandoor sections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer expectations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time and to the restaurant’s high standards.
**What We Look For**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Indian kitchen specializing in curry or tandoor cooking.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques.
- Proficiency in operating a tandoor oven and preparing a wide range of Indian breads and grilled items.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
**Job Details**:
- Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
- Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
- Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 (Based on Experience) per hour, plus tips

**Schedule**:
- Shifts may include: 10-hour shifts, 8-hour shifts, evening shifts, holidays, Monday to Friday, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
