**SCOPE**

To support the Volt-Age program’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and to coordinate the implementation of the EDI Action Plan of Volt-Age.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Coordinate the implementation of the EDI action plan of Volt-Age.

Support Volt-Age’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion by conceptualizing, preparing, and delivering initiatives and tools to increase faculty, staff, HQP, and other relevant stakeholders’ awareness, commitment, and capacity relating to EDI issues and goals.

Advise and support the management team on EDI matters to ensure that appropriate, relevant, and recognized best practices are adopted in research design, recruitment and retention of staff and HQP, and in fostering and maintaining an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment.

Identify, assess, and, in collaboration with relevant offices of Concordia University (where applicable), respond to challenges or identified shortcomings relating to equity, diversity, an inclusion in the Volt-Age program.

Collaborate and nurture networks and relationships with other groups and individuals who have equity mandates and responsibilities (e.g. Human Resources, Vice-Provost, Faculty Development and Inclusion/Equity Office, etc.) within the University.

Perform other duties in support of the unit.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to primary responsibilities and a first successful working experience related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (and/or other related issues or fields), preferably in an academic environment.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, to manage multiple priorities and liaise with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EDI literature and best practices, particularly in an academic environment.
- Strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- Good spoken and written English (Level 4) in order to communicate effectively with stakeholders and to draft correspondence, documentation, and reports. Basic spoken and written French (Level 3) at minimum, higher level a strong asset.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills in order to effectively organize work, set and adhere to timelines, and prioritize.
