Sage Coastal Counselling is a trauma-focused private practice located in Nanaimo, BC. We offer holistic counselling services to individuals, partners, and groups. We provide trauma therapy (EMDR), DBT (individual and groups), and relationship counselling. Our practice is expanding and we are looking for a masters level counselling associate to join our team (independent contractor).

We place immense value on holistic healing and self-care. As a trauma-focused practice, we know how important it is for clinicians to feel supported in themselves and their work. We are looking for a clinician that is rooted in self-healing, self-care, and professional development.

We work with an array of presenting concerns including trauma (PTSD/CPTSD), BPD, dissociation and dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, relational issues, emotion regulation difficulties, among other issues. We are looking for a clinician that is comfortable working with these presentations.

We are looking for a clinician who is able to see clients primarily virtually, however, we do have an office space that is available on select days if the clinician is in Nanaimo and interested in in-person work. This position is open to anyone in BC.
- Places immense value on self-healing, self-care, and professional development
- Has professional registration in good standing (RCC, CCC, RSW)
- Holds professional liability insurance
- Is able to see clients remotely
- Has experience working with trauma
- Has EMDR training and/or other trauma training
- Masters degree (or higher) in counselling psychology
- Willingness to register with ICBC and FNHA
- Some evening and/or weekend availability
- Ethical and professional
