Position Overview To be considered successful in this role, you’ll be expected to
offload railcars in a timely manner. You’ll also help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the propane equipment. This includes communication with all service providers as needed.
**Here’s a preview of what you’ll be doing**:
- Become proficient in all aspects of terminal operation
- Handle multiple responsibilities including customer service, and assist arriving trucks with any loading issues
- Train new drivers on site-specific loading and safety procedures
- Respond to phone calls regarding loading/terminal issues
- Providing inventory updates each morning via spreadsheet
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot systems within the terminal
- General maintenance, cleaning, housekeeping, and snow removal
- Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
- Attention to detail is a must
- Attend monthly NGL Terminal monthly safety meeting on Teams
- Ability to perform work safely, at all times
- Ability and interest to be cross - trained in all functions at the terminal
**This is what we need from you**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good organizational skills
- Read, write and understand French (English a strong asset)
- Be mechanically inclined
- A strong commitment to maintaining safe work practices at all times
- Additional skills we’ll strongly consider to be an asset:
- Previous transload experience (nice, but not necessary)
**Here are some of the requirements for this role**:
- Ability to:
- work at heights
- walk extensively throughout the day, sometimes on uneven terrain
- lift a minimum 50 lbs.
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Attend and pass all job-required tests/qualifications/training (WHMIS, TDG, H2S, Fall Arrest, First Aid, and all other site-specific training, as required)
