**Rate of Pay: $39.07 - $56.00 per hour

**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**
**Under the direct supervision of the Manager - Regional Wound Care Program, the Registered Nurse is responsible to assist in the developemnt of educational modules to support adoption of the best practices for wound care throughout the NorthWest Region.
**Specific Accountabilities:
- Develops and provides wound education inlcuding but not limited to best practices for pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and burns.
- Assists in the development of measurement and evalution of wound education.
- Delivers presentations both synchronously and asynchronously.
- Participates in the development of videos for wound education.
- Provides hands on skills labs when requested.
- Works collaboratively with other team members to provide clinincal teaching to assist with building would capacity across North West Ontariuo.
Other Responsibilites:
- Establishes and maintains formal and informal community and regional linkages and partnerships.
- Provides health education to the client and care partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
- Responsible for following all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and relevant organizational policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and safety of others.
- Participate in monthly safety inspections, emergency drills and training programs as required.
- Reports any equipment, safety concerns or hazards to supervisor.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Holds either the Nursing Specialized in Wound Ostomy and Continence Certification, or Master of Clinical Science-Wound Healing Degree.
**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
