Mortgage Underwriter

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate borrower's financial status, credit history, and employment history
- Collect and verify all necessary documentation for loan approval
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and assess the borrower's ability to repay the loan
- Conduct thorough risk analysis and make informed decisions on loan approvals or denials
- Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate underwriting process
- Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices
**Skills**:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial information
- Proficiency in math and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents
- Solid understanding of financial services and mortgage lending principles
- Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with borrowers, loan officers, and other parties involved in the loan process
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
