**Position Description**

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in our Barrie location.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Perform duties to set-up and operate one or more machines, performing various operations on parts and materials.
- Work from blueprints, work orders, written and verbal instructions.
- Responsible for loading and unloading materials, as well as setting up, aligning, changing, and adjusting dies as required.
- Make first piece, check print, and measure to maintain proper tolerance and accurate dimensions.
- Abide by all Health and Safety protocols.
- Sort Recyclable material (Tires)
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and safe manner.
- Operate assigned production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with general labor and maintenance tasks, that maybe required from time to time. Included outside premises as well.
- Report any malfunctions to supervision. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Complete required records, reports, and production documentation.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Other duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in waste management or a related field.
- Knowledge of waste management processes and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
