**What We Are Looking For**:
**Education**:

- The successful applicant will have a post-secondary Diploma or be enrolled in any of the following disciplines:
Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Social Services Worker (SSW), Child and Youth Worker,
Personal Support Worker (PSW), Community and Justice Services (CJS), Police Foundations or any other social services program.

**What We Require**:

- Valid G Driver’s License
- Driving Abstract
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Childrens Aid Background check
- Excellent communication, organization and social skills

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess physical and emotional conditions of clients, tailoring support and activities to their individual needs
- Engage with clients in activities, promoting socialization and offering emotional regulation support
- Work towards maximizing client independence in day-to-day activities;
- Provide basic hygiene care, including changing clothes and assisting with bathroom breaks
- Ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment, providing age-appropriate activities with necessary adaptations
- Promote behavioral change and personal growth among clients struggling to cope due to social, emotional, physical, or cognitive delays
- Deliver life skills training in line with the established goals of the clients and relevant stakeholders
- Work within the client’s community, utilizing local resources and programs
- Initiate activity groups, catered to the specific needs and goals of the client
- Employ behavior management strategies as appropriate
- Possess the ability to work independently and with a team of professionals including families, healthcare professionals, and counsellors

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 40 per week
