**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers and field operations to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges or opportunities (if applicable)
- Research and source pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
- Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients, including cost breakdowns and timelines
- Collaborate with project management team to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling
**Experience**:
- Proven experience with tenders in the construction industry including design plans and take offs
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Excel (manditory)
- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
