Ramp Attendant

Capital Subaru is hiring a Ramp Attendant. The primary function of the position involves being responsible for the safe operation of aligning all the newly mounted tires and wheels on a customer’s vehicle. This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone looking to expand upon their natural automotive or mechanical abilities.
**A day in the life**
- Checking the current state of the vehicle, adjust, balance and align steering and suspension which allows for optimum road handling.
- Driving vehicles onto ramp, properly secure vehicle to alignment machine to ensure safe operation, change tires by properly dismounting and remounting tires onto wheels without damaging either, and test-drive vehicles to ensure that the problems have been fixed.
- Reporting any faulty parts or improper wear to Shop Foreman so that a further inspection will be completed.
- Ensuring the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- May be required to assist other Technicians with assembling/disassembling tires.
- Ensuring safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors.

- Highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates outstanding attendance with consistent punctual arrival at the workplace.
- Ensures safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all staff, customers, and vendors.
**What We Require From You**
- Having full body mobility and the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of automotive maintenance experience or recent auto tech school degree preferred.
- A mechanical aptitude and skillset in car maintenance is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a Driver's Abstract.
- Record of Conduct.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
