**Job Description: Integration Aide**
- Summary_

The Integration Aide is a 1:3 worker who works directly with children/youth aged 7-18. The Integration Aide is responsible for providing support to children/youth with developmental, emotional, social, and learning. The Integration Aide works directly under the Supervisor of Community Programs and the Clinical Supervisor.

The following is a list of responsibilities that the Integration Aide is responsible for:
1. Providing a safe and fun environment for the child/youth with special needs.

2. Following specified plans to help best support the child/youth in a variety of environments (home/school/childcare/after-school programs etc..).

3. Implement programs to improve: social communication skills, behaviour management, and life skills (i.e. communicating wants/needs, play skills, academics, personal hygiene, interactions with others etc..).

4. Assist child/youth with life skills.

5. Collaborate with parents and other providers to ensure the child/youth’s needs and goals are being met.

6. Monitor child’s progress and maintain daily detailed records of program goals.

7. Communicates effectively with parents/caregivers/other professionals.

1. Asset: Diploma/Degree in the field of psychology, education, developmental services, child and youth or in a related field.

2. 1 year experience with children/youth, preferably in a group setting.

3. Organized, flexible and ability to multi-task

4. Microsoft Office

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-40 per week

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K2A 1R9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
