Junior Buyer

Source, negotiate and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers. Prepare purchase orders and coordinate the timely procurement of these items.
- Identify vendors of materials, equipment or supplies and invite tenders, consult with suppliers, review quotations and participate in the negotiation of purchase contracts
- Monitor cost and quality of goods and/or services received and resolve any issues with vendors
- Monitor inventory levels of critical consumables and ensure they are appropriately maintained.
- Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists.
- Monitor special project expenditures and ensure payment schedules are met.
- Review daily production projection and communicate with vendors for releases of required stock supplies
- Maintenance of the Monthly utilities spreadsheets.
- Participate in Daily Production and Continuous Improvement meetings.
