**Position Profile**:
The Yard Labourer for the chemical waste division will report to the yard supervisor and work with other team members to process and dispose of containerized waste. This involves the loading and unloading of trailers and box trucks using various equipment. Sampling, sorting, bulking and processing of all incoming containerized waste according to standard operating procedures. This role will require the use of various heavy equipment including forklifts and an industrial shredder. On occasion overtime may be required.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
This position is open to both experienced and inexperienced labourers.
- Possess a strong work ethic and be reliable
- Be able to work and interact with a diverse group of people on a regular basis as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Be able to understand and follow procedures and instructions
- Be able to wear all PPE and follow all Health and Safety rules
- Be able to successfully pass and maintain all required training
- Be able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
- Provide their own safety boots (eligible for annual reimbursement after probationary period)
- Forklift
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- WHMIS
- All other safety requirements

**Working Conditions**:

- Work occurs mainly outdoors (exposure to the elements)
- Some work requires use of a full-face respirator
- Yard is noisy, dusty, and odourous depending on the season

**Salary**: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
