Its mandate is to support and enhance a responsive, comprehensive, regionalized health care system that promotes and provides for the physical, mental and community health of all British Columbians.

The Finance and Corporate Services Division supports the Ministry Executive and programs by managing and ensuring a consistent approach to financial and corporate issues. The services are provided through five branches: Financial Operations, Financial Analysis and Decision Support, Regional Grants and Decision Support, Audit and Investigations, and Logistics Strategy. These branches provide financial advice and assist programs to meet their strategic goals and operational plans, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and central agency directives.

The Funding Analyst is responsible for performing financial analysis, corporate financial system queries and financial reporting for Ministry funding to the Health Authorities (HA). The position provides key reporting support to the Budget Manager and Financial Analyst to ensure all financial and administrative documents, including grant and contribution approvals and funding letters to the HAs, are developed, monitored, reconciled, and reported accurately. The position is responsible for ensuring the bi-weekly payments to the HAs are complete and accurate.

**Job Requirements**:

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED), and completion of some formal business or accounting course work, plus related experience as described below.
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Related experience must include:

- Minimum one (1) year experience providing client service in a financial environment.
- Minimum one (1) year experience prioritizing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Experience coordinating the assembly of financial data for budget preparation, financial forecasts, or analysis.
- More than one (1) year experience in any of the above statements.
- Experience using Corporate Accounting System (CAS) or equivalent accounting software systems.
- Diploma or Certificate in accounting or finance.
- Completion of the first level of the Financial Management Certificate Program.
