**Position Details**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Coach, develop and motivate Underwriting Associates to ensure that they are meeting or exceeding performance expectations for key performance indicators and achieving career objectives
- Provide immediate and ongoing feedback to associates regarding accountabilities, performance and quality
- Assess & evaluate moderate to complex risks and recommend solutions to contribute to profitable portfolio of business
- Adherence to established underwriting guidelines and practices
- Maintain an awareness of changes within underwriting and general Insurance environment and distribution partners.
- Monitor and control quality of business underwritten to ensure high level of quality of business, effective underwriting and adequate pricing and make recommendations for improvement
- Build positive business relationship with Distribution channel Partners, answering Broker and Agent inquiries and completing Agent/Broker visits.

**Job Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in Insurance of business related field preferred
- 2 - 4 years of Insurance and supervisory experience
- Effective business decision making attributes
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
