**We are currently seeking a **full-time** Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Burnaby.**

**SCHEDULE**:

- ** 37.5 hours per week (5 days/week)**:

- ** Business hours are Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm (Shifts are 7am-3pm, and 8am-4pm). Closed weekends and statutory holidays.**:

- ** Available to work on statutory holidays (on an on-call rotational basis) if needed**:

- ** Must be flexible to adapt to possible changes in work schedule in future based on business needs, potentially including evenings and weekends**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Maintain inventory of sufficient supplies in dispensary to meet compounding demands.
- Prepare, process, dispense, and compound intravenous admixtures of antibiotics, chemotherapy, and other orders as per defined work instructions.
- Pick, inspect, verify, and disinfect all components against the order sheet to be used for compounding.
- Enter and program infusion pump parameters to be verified by the pharmacist.
- Perform validation, calibration, and microbiological monitoring and checking.
- Assist in the cleaning of equipment, totes, and work surfaces and maintain facility compliance with Calea standards.
- Maintain and participate in inventory counts

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy practice setting.
- IV experience or prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting ideal, but not required.
- Sound knowledge of aseptic technique an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred but not mandatory: RPhT designation with the BC College of Pharmacists
