**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain standards of health and safety for self and others whilst at work
- Arrive 15 minutes before shift starts to receive hand over and prepare for the Daily Activity Briefing, ensuring start / finish times & break times are monitored and adhered to and to stay at the end of shift if business meetings are required
- Ensure all work is carried out to the meet daily production requirements for M3 of concrete, mix quality, efficiency and health and safety
- The batching plant is run in an efficient manner to minimise overtime
- Raw Materials are ordered to meet the required production volumes and mixes required
- Organise and carry out testing of both coarse and fine aggregates to ensure conformity to material specifications and identify and quarantine any suspect materials
- Ensure that the batching of concrete conforms to the required mix design as laid out by the Quality Controller
- Work with the Quality Controller, providing information and feedback in the event of material and mix trials as a means of continuous improvement in both quality and cost.
- Testing of batched concrete in its plastic state, recording results and identifying trends including strength testing using 100mm cubes or cylinders and/or a maturity curing system, whilst alerting the quality department if tolerance/specifications are not met.
- Actively seek feedback from previous day’s cast with regards to performance of mix in both plastic and hardened states from the production teams to improve mix design within given specifications.
- Comply with all aspects of the MPS Quality Policies
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy

Batch Plant Requirements:

- 2 years experience working as a batching plant operator
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma.
- Legally able to work in Canada
- 4 step, WHIMIS certifications
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work in all weather.
- Workers must be punctual and reliable.

Useful skills:

- Forklift license
- Working at Heights
- Gantry crane license / experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
