Priestly is seeking a team orientated Dispatcher to join our Priestly team in the Logistics department here at our King, ON head office. In this role, the Dispatcher would report to our Logistics and purchasing Supervisor and heavily support the Dispatch Foreman. In this role the Dispatcher is an integral part of the Logistics team and will be responsible for the coordinating, tracking and maintaining of all dispatch functions. This will include providing support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment and will assist in completing operational tasks all while proactively communicating integral information between drivers, dispatchers and customers in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Duties
- Assist with the coordination and execute the daily dispatch plan to insure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of outbound load execution
- Co-ordinate and plan with department peers too effectively and efficiently dispatch and schedule drivers on a day to day basis.
- Answer and record all emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely manner
- Various types of Data Entry tasks in multiple software systems
- Effectively oversee the route of field units and track delivery status of products
- Discuss and resolve any dispatch related issues with the ability to provide business/process improvement suggestions to management team.
- Support dispatch foreman with receiving and dispatching orders when required
- Provides administrative assistance to team as required
- Duties also include general office administration work, copying, filing as required

Position Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required
- College program in logistics or equivalent business related experience preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a dispatch/call center environment
- Advanced computer skills
- Outlook, Excel, Word
- Strong attention to detail
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Able to work well under pressure
