Central Lambton Family Health Team is **currently seeking one (1) Medical Receptionists ** for a full - time, permanent position.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing reception, clerical and administrative support to the Central Lambton Family Health Team. The Medical Receptionist ensures that all patients, visitors and callers receive appropriate service and assistance. They ensure that allied health providers and consulting physicians are appropriately supported.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Welcomes patients and visitors in person or by telephone
- Responds efficiently and professionally to all patient inquires
- Arranges appointments for patients and makes adjustments to the schedule
- Scans documents into the electronic medical record
- Prepares word processing/spreadsheet documentation
- Maintains and modifies electronic medical records
- Ensures the efficient operation of the office and other administrative duties as required

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED**
- High School Diploma
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma
- Or equivalent experience

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Reception experience in a medical office environment
- Prior experience in primary health care field an asset
- Experience with EMR an asset, particularly Accuro

**SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Patient focused
- Ability to deal with multiple pressures and conflicting priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
