**Hardware Lead**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the hardware team in designing and developing USV systems, including selecting hardware components, designing, and testing hardware, and integrating hardware components into the USV systems.
- Work closely with the software team to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components and troubleshoot any hardware-related issues.
- Develop and maintain hardware design documentation, specifications, and provide technical support to the manufacturing and testing teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and work with the legal team to obtain necessary certifications and approvals.
- Participate in system testing and debugging and identify areas for improvement in the hardware design.
- Collaborate with other teams within the company, including project management, business development, and customer support, to ensure successful delivery of USV systems to customers.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware design and development, preferably in the field of autonomous systems or robotics.
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, including power management, signal processing, and control systems.
- Experience with CAD tools, such as Altium Designer or Eagle, Solidworks or other related tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and environmental testing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of marine electronics and communication systems, including NEMA 2000 equipment, GPS, radar, and AIS.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles and experience working with mechanical design teams to ensure proper integration of hardware components.
- Experience with USV systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with mainstream brands of marine electronic and electrical equipment, including Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad, Lowrance, Furuno, etc.
- Familiarities with commonly used hardware platforms and development boards, such as Raspberry Pi and Jetson, and knowledge of commonly used interfaces and communication protocols, such as CAN and Mavlink.
