**IT Technician**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

In this role you will set up user accounts, respond to telephone, electronic mail, and/or walk-in requests for support for all systems and equipment within the IT Service Desk environment in accordance with current or revised Help Desk SOP's and/or service level agreements.
- Troubleshoot all problems encountered with computer softwares
- Provide general support for all dial in / remote access systems and other remote systems
- Install, configure and manage PDAs, User accounts, devices and printers.
- Inventory IT hardware from inception to deployment.
- Assist with the generation and maintenance of IT solution requirements.
- Answer helpdesk calls in a timely manner and provide desk side support as needed.
- Receive new hardware requests and monitor procurement and deployment activities.
- Ensure security of assets while in inventory.
- Open and track support tickets with suppliers and Vendors.
- Track and maintain copies of asset warranties, maintenance agreements, and other vendor contracts.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience among which at least 2 years in a post of support to users;
- Bilingualism (English and French);
- Good knowledge of Windows 7 through 10, Windows Servers 2008 through 2019, Linux an asset but not necessary;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory;
- Good working knowledge in the creation and deployment of PC images using MS supplied tools.
- Basic knowledge LAN, WAN, TCP / IP and networks in a business environment;
- Basic knowledge of the databases structures (Access, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of a POS (Point of Sales) environment
- Work on location as needed. Automobile required.
- The person must be available on call in the evening and during the end of the week on a rotating basis with the members of his team.
