**Department Overview**
TD Securities Regulatory Reporting within the Chief Accountants Group is responsible for ensuring that the TDSI legal entity remains in compliance with the financial rules of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization (IIROC) at all times. This includes ensuring TDSI is properly capitalized at all times.
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Our **Co-op/Intern Programming** is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:
- Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization
- Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation
- Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more
The role of intern is to complete "daily capital" calculations in accordance with the rules of IIROC. This includes:
- Calculating market risk on inventory positions
- Calculating credit risk on client and securities borrowing and lending positions
- Analyzing day over day changes in capital requirements for reasonability
- Consolidate and analyze Daily profit and loss
- Monitor capital usage against capital limits. Liaise with front office to understand capital breaches/excesses.
- Work with manager to analyze the capital impact of new businesses or products or rule change
Through this job, the analyst will get a good understanding of Canadian financial products and the Canadian financial markets and regulatory landscape.
**Job Requirements**
- Currently enrolled in an **undergraduate degree** in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
- Knowledge of financial instruments and financial markets
- Strong working knowledge of excel, as our IIROC capital models are all excel based
- Strong thought leadership and strategic thinking
- Proven ability to operate and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced matrixed organization
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively (both in speaking and writing), work independently, follow instructions/ direction, provide assistance and build relationships

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- This position is a 4-month work term and will commence **May 1**st** **- August 25**th** 2023.**:
