Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that product is merchandised on the shelve in a timely manner, setting up and tearing down displays and clearing any unwanted products from the shelves. The Merchandiser is required to visit different big box retail stores weekly. Steel-toe shoes are required for this role.

Essential Job Functions *
- Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement.
- Build and maintain product displays.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of the Detailer or Detailer Supervisor.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Follow store safety rules and work in a safe and healthy manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years as a representative or similar job in a big box retailer environment is preferred.

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Outlook.
- Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
- Able to lift up to 25 lb.
- Reliable transportation will be considered an asset.
