Houseperson

**The Windsor Hotel, Stratford is seeking f/t Houseperson.**

The Houseperson is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team who collectively is responsible for the cleanliness and attention to detail of the hotel, both guest rooms, public areas, back of house as well as the outdoor property. The Houseperson supports the Room Attendants by ensuring guest room supplies are well stocked, garbage and debris are removed from the rooms as well as other cleaning duties as assigned. This position also ensures the cleanliness and perfection of the guest areas of the hotel and other cleaning duties as assigned.

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This role has direct involvement with guests; excellent communication skills and command of the English language is required. Individuals need to be able to clean guest rooms accordingly to Brand Standards. This position requires standing for the majority of the shift and requires the ability to lift at least 70lbs. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work Weekends and Holidays.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Room Attendants as necessary i.e. assist in putting on bed skirts, rotating mattresses, replacing drapes, etc.
- Maintain and resupply the guest room supplies and linen daily.
- Ensure cleanliness, neatness, and free of liter throughout hotel, rooms, and all assigned areas.
- Remove all garbage and recyclable items and discard of in the appropriate areas.
- Clean and prepare arrival rooms.
- In the room clean glass windows and glass doors.
- Conduct high dusting of the room (i.e. headboard, ceiling fans, and vents).
- Ensure the cleanliness of all furniture, railings, fixtures, entryways, and stairs of all guest rooms.
- Delivery and pick-up guest request items when assigned (i.e. irons, ironing boards). This also includes making up and delivering cribs and rollaway beds.
- Assist in moving beds and furniture as requested.
- Assists Room Attendant as required. Helps move beds and furniture, turns mattresses, removes or hangs sheers and drapes.
- Stock linen room and closet
- Other jobs as assigned

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
