With the continued growth of our business, we are seeking to hire a “**QC Technician II**” to join our Quality team.
**The position requires a person that can**:
- Assist in performing inspection of bulk samples based on AQL requirements and prepare customer AQL documents.
- Assist in ensuring all QC samples are sent to external contract labs in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring all QC samples are collected, logged and specifications are entered.
- Accurately record lab results from contract laboratories, advising if results are out of specification.
- Ensure samples are sent out with the correct specifications and test requirements.
- Perform physical and organoleptic testing on raw materials and finished products.
- Perform identification testing using FTIR spectroscopy.
- Assist in evaluating the sampling priorities for upcoming Production runs.
- Support Production in doing Work in Process (WIP) testing of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory.
- Creation and development of specifications in SAP.
- Other duties as required.
**Requirements include**:
- Excellent time management skills to establish and handle priorities.
- Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external parties.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical, mathematical, and computer skills (MS Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Team player with the ability to follow-up and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Committed to Safety, Food Safety and Quality practices.
**Shift**:Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
**Experience & Education**:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in sciences (e.g. Chemistry and Microbiology) from a Canadian institute or university and / or with recognized equivalency.
- 1 year of QC experience in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment within the NHP, Pharmaceutical or Food industry is a definite asset.
- Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and other food quality & safety regulations.
- Certifications in quality assurance a definite asset.
- SAP knowledge will be considered an asset.
- Assist in ensuring all QC samples are sent to external contract labs in a timely manner.

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
