**Summary**
At Quality Blasting Coating, the Foreman plays a critical role in overseeing the coating operations and ensuring efficient and safe task execution. The Foreman's responsibilities encompass multiple aspects, including production, safety, quality control, and team management. Below is a detailed description of the roles and responsibilities of the Foreman:
- Lead and supervise the coating team members, including painters, helpers, and other staff.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to the team to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to individual team members based on their skills and expertise.
- Adjust workflow and workforce as work is completed throughout the day.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures within the facility.
- Conduct daily safety minute meetings to remind the team of safety rules and promote a culture of safety consciousness.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take necessary steps to prevent accidents or incidents.
- Report any workplace accidents or near-miss incidents.
- Encourage team safety reporting.
- Ensure that all coating operations are executed using best practices and are done to manufacturers specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections of in-process work to identify any defects or imperfections and coach staff on how to correct and avoid in the future.
- Act as a liaison between the coating team and upper management.
- Provide regular updates on production status, challenges, and accomplishments.
- Encourage open communication among team members to foster a positive working environment.
- Daily verification of workforce hours posted in electronic tracking system
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience with demonstrated motivating, training, appraising and general supervisory skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Proven technical abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing practices as needed.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
