Black Diamond Group’s Finance & Accounting team has a full-time position for Tax Analyst.

This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home

Reporting to the General Manager, Tax, this role will be responsible for preparing Canadian and US indirect tax returns and property tax submissions along with assisting in the preparation the Canadian and US income tax compliance. The Tax Analyst will become a key member of the Company’s tax department.

**Responsibilities**

Indirect Tax Compliance:

- Prepare sales tax and property tax returns for the Canadian and US business units
- Work with internal stakeholders to properly set up sales tax accounts to meet business needs
- Sales tax research and assist with tax inquiries from internal stakeholders

Income Tax Compliance:

- Assist in the preparation of annual Canadian income tax compliance which includes, but is not limited to:

- Assist with the preparation of responses to federal, and provincial income tax audits
- Correspond with various Canadian tax authorities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly tax provisions
- Refine and improve data collection processes to support tax return filings
- Research and respond to tax claim questions for ERP Implementation project
- Other ad-hoc research and analytics as required

**Qualifications**
- 3 years’ experience in cash management, accounting and/or treasury operations
- Experience in SAP Business One and/or Oracle Netsuite is considered an asset
- Strong computer and data analysis skills including intermediate Excel skills (using pivot tables, basic charts/formula)
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong analytical skills and takes initiative to solve problems
- Ability to work independently while supporting the larger finance and accounting team
- Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and external business partners
