We are currently looking to hire a Transload Operator for our Sudbury operations. This person works independently and is largely responsible for transloading diesel fuel from railcar into tanker trucks.

The Transload Operator will be an integral part of the Sudbury operations team and will work closely with the dispatch team members on a day-to-day basis. This position is a very active and hands on role where the ability to stay focused on the job task to ensure safe handling of the product is a must. This is a new role that is being developed and the job role may change and develop over time.
- Current Schedule - Monday to Friday (7am to 5pm)

- Ability to organize, handle and fill out paperwork efficiently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical capability to perform the job duties.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Conducting daily operational and safety checklists.
- Prepare the rail cars for unloading.
- Perform start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment.
- Connecting/disconnecting hoses from railcars and transload pumps
- Monitoring flow rate, temperature and pressure during loading and unloading.
- Recording necessary load volume totals
- Neatly and accurately complete required paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness of site, office trailer and transload equipment.
- Handle problems as they arise and initiate steps for resolution.
- General maintenance, as well as cleaning and housekeeping (snow removal).
- Effectively communicate with internal dispatch teams and drivers.
- Commit to safe work practices by following standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- **Qualifications**_
- 3+ years industrial experience or willingness to learn on the job.
- Understand, or willing to learn, railway operations and safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, wind, snow, rain, heat and cold.
- Ability to complete the physical aspects of the job including climbing railcars, opening, and closing hatches, working under railcars, etc.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and perform general maintenance.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including but not limited to lifting above head, bending, crawling, walking, general lifting greater or equal to 50lbs.

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
