Vancouver, Canada Atlantis Submarines International Full time

**Position Purpose**:
Atlantis Submarines is seeking a supply chain professional to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As the Buyer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end purchasing process for all components and materials used by Atlantis Submarines. You will also be responsible for inventory management, coordinating shipping and receiving, managing relationships with our domestic and international suppliers, vendor selection and contract negotiation.

**About Atlantis**:
Atlantis Submarines International (ASI) is the pioneer and world leader in passenger-carrying submarine technology and in the operation of passenger carrying submarines. Atlantis was established in 1983 to develop the world’s first purpose build tourist submarine. Since commencing passenger operations in December 1985, Atlantis has carried in excess of 18,000,000 passengers and completed over 580,000 dives. ASI’s primary technical roles include:

- On-going development and maintenance of the Atlantis technology
- Provision of equipment and technical support for operations
- Regulatory management
- Operational audits and periodic inspections

ASI supports Atlantis Submarines operations in the following locations:

- Barbados Since December 1986
- Kona, Hawaii Since January 1988
- Guam Since July 1988
- Aruba Since September 1990
- Oahu, Hawaii Since September 1989
- Maui, Hawaii Since June 1991
- Cancun/Cozumel, Mexico Since June 1994

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Individual contributor for the end-to-end purchasing process.
- Manage and develop our strategy to ensure a cost effective and efficient supply chain.
- Manage and forecast inventory for current and futures projects.
- Manage all activities related to sourcing and procurement of components and materials.
- Work with freight forwarders and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of domestic and international shipments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements related to supply chain operations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department and Atlantis licensees and partners.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar field.
- SCMP designation or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar supply chain roles.
- Experience working with international suppliers and worldwide shipping and logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of materials planning, inventory controls, and procurement, with a meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of domestic and international regulatory requirements related to supply chain operations.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills with an attention to detail.
