**JRoss Construction is a full service civil site development contractor. Our primary divisions are Asphalt Construction, Concrete Construction and Landscape Construction. At our peak season we employee 55-60 staff members. Our base is just west of Winnipeg in Headingley’s South Industrial Park. Started in 2007 JRC has growth rapidly over the last 5-7 years. **About the Role**
**Survey**
- Operate GPS, total station and laser level equipment
- Facilitate set up of files for machine control
- Train Operators/Supervisors in daily use of machine control
- Ex: Set up rover/base stations, transit hubs or laser benchmarks
- Survey and layout for all types of projects from sports fields and playgrounds to commercial sidewalks and parking lots
- Field Adjustments - design and calculations
- Quantity Capture - Ex: Cubic meters of excavation
**Field Management**
- Set up and administration of field data collection
- Ex: Gravel ticket collection with daily quantity summaries
- Project liaison between project management and superintendent or foreman on sites - Ex: site visits to ensure milestones are being met on project schedule
- Project Scheduling and Sequencing
- Technical Support - Drawings to Dirt - ensure the project intent is being executed properly
- Client/Contract Administrator Liaison - Attend project meeting with consultants or owners, document changes or requests, represent JRC’s interests on site and provide technical input
- Supervision of Project Schedule and Budget - Data capture and comparisons with reporting to PM/Sales
**Desired Assets**
- Manitoba Licensed Surveyor - Registered with AMLS
- Experience with Civil Construction (as described above this is a hybrid role with project management nuance)
- Experience with AutoCad, Magnet office, Topcon, 3D Machine control
- Experience with Field layout
- Outgoing Personality
- Desire to develop and grow with our firm
- Independent “self starter”
- Love of the outdoors
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$105,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
