**Language and Location**:
Beginner ASL - Virtual from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm., Saturdays
**Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**:
Knowledge of and fluency of American Sign Language, Deaf culture and needs of Deaf in Hearing/Deaf Cultural settings
Must have knowledge of and fluency of the language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);
Knowledgeable about the culture, history and traditions and be able to integrate them into classroom activities appropriate to the age group;
Comfortable teaching online, in a classroom or a combination of both methods. OCSB will provide some training, support and mentoring.
**In addition, the following will be considered an asset**:
Previous experience working with children and/or youth;
Good computer skills (Google Apps, Microsoft Office).
**Start Date**: October 19, 2024
**COMPENSATION**: Instructors - $23.00/hour ($29.50 hour if OCT certified) plus 4% vacation pay (depending on qualifications).
