**About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Alarm Technician proficient in both wired and wireless DSC equipment to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise with keypads, panels, window and door contacts, smoke detectors, motion detectors, carbon detectors, heat detectors, and flood detectors is crucial in ensuring our clients' safety.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Installation**: Install and configure wired and wireless DSC security systems, including keypads, panels, window and door contacts, smoke detectors, motion detectors, carbon detectors, heat detectors, and flood detectors, adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
- **Maintenance and Repair**: Conduct routine maintenance checks, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements to ensure the optimal functionality of installed security systems.
- **Integration**: Familiarity with other security devices such as card access systems, surveillance cameras, and wall safes. Integrate these devices seamlessly into existing or new security setups as per client requirements.
- **Testing and Troubleshooting**: Conduct thorough testing of all installed equipment, identifying and resolving any issues promptly. Provide detailed documentation of system configurations and client instructions.
- **Client Interaction**: Interact professionally with clients, explaining system features, addressing concerns, and ensuring their understanding of the installed security systems.
- **Training**: Provide basic training to clients on how to operate and maintain their security systems effectively.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience**: Proven experience as an Alarm Technician with extensive knowledge of wired and wireless DSC security equipment and other security devices.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting keypads, panels, window and door contacts, smoke detectors, motion detectors, carbon detectors, heat detectors, and flood detectors. Familiarity with card access systems, surveillance cameras, and wall safes is a plus.
- **Communication**: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in alarm installation and security systems are advantageous.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in installations, ensuring systems are operational and aesthetically pleasing.
