Warehouse - Material Handler / Raymond Reach

- 2 years of Raymond Reach licence
- Proven communication both written and verbal
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting to 50lbs boxes comfortable with physical work

Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Pick, Pack or assemble products in an efficient and safe manner.
- Move product to storage areas with proper material handling equipment (pallet jack)
- Familiarity with RF scanning and / or SAP 4 Hana.
- Ability to modify and rework orders to meet specific customer requirements
- Efficiently store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Prior to product storage, count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage.
- Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, storing, and load functions, as required.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Clean up and dispose of scrap, cardboard, strapping and discard in proper containers or designated areas as required
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
- Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures
- Always wear or use protective equipment
- Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor
- Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
- Must not put other workers at risk by your actions
- MHE (material handle experience), current Raymond Reach Truck License. Additional MHE experience, order picker, walkie, double walkie also desirable.
- Working knowledge of Red Prairie WMS would an asset
- Previous experience with a Radio Frequency (RF)Scanner
- Certified on - Pallet Walkie &Reach, would be an asset with a proven track record for safe and defensive driving
- Member of a Joint Health Safety Committee would be an asset
- Experience working in a Continuous improvement environment desirable
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
- Experience with WMS systems and ERP systems - SAP.
- Team player, highly motivated and hardworking.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
- Goal oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Work with urgency.

Availability

General working hours can be as early as 7 / 7:30 am or from 3 pm to 11am. Scheduled 5 days per week, may be an additional day during peak periods to meet customer demand.
