**Purpose of Role**: _The machinist s_ets up facing equipment and operates align boring equipment to perform machining operations such as drill and tap holes, torque bolts to spec, boring, reaming, bore welding, honing, and counter boring holes in metal work pieces such as jigs, fixtures, gauges, and dies by performing the following duties to CIS safety, quality and production standards. Measures using precision measuring devices & records on reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Focus Area**:Operate machine to prove-out setup and produce pilot work piece for inspection
- **Focus Area**:Work from complex blueprints, part drawings, specifications, setup instructions, etc
- **Focus Area**:Work on multi-tooled arrangements that have several operations where very close dimensional relations are important
- **Focus Area**:Diagnose machine or tooling malfunction and make the proper and corrective adjustments

**Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications**:

- GED or High School Diploma required
- 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist preferred (set up/operator)
